The remote data logger marshals all the signals required to be measured in a unit locally to the measurement transducers. The unit can interface into such transducers as loadcells Thermocouples, voltage and current loops and most industry standard signals. The signals can then be processed locally to produce engineering units and can then either be transmitted to a PC via a radio link or cable. The radio link can be either Blue Tooth, WiFi or a standard RF transmission system. The PC will store the incoming data and can be replayed as a history file. Also available is data logging directly to a memory stick which can eliminate a transmission system between the data logger and the PC. Full graphing and instrument graphic displays are available. The data can also be sent directly to a spreadsheet for future analysis.
The budget systems consists of transmitting a serial signal directly from a LodeMaster belt weigher into a PC. This can then be filtered to give data suitable for direct input to a spreadsheet or graphing facility. This system would generally cost under £500.00 for all the software that is required.
