Lime Dosing System for water extracted from old mine workings

The Lodestone dosing/weighing systems are designed to produce a signal proportion to the rate of discharge of a hopper system. Single or dual systems are available. The pictured system measures the amount of water being pumped up from old mine workings and then ratio’s lime into the water as a “sweetener” which reduces the ph of the water to the required levels in order to make it suitable to be put back into the river system.

The dual lime and clay system measures the amount of dirt/clay going up the conveyor by using a LodeMaster belt weigher and doses a predetermined amount of the stabiliser into the clay in order to make it set like concrete. The loss-in-weight system measures the amount of stabiliser being discharged from the overhead hopper. A printout is time and date stamped and gives the ratio of clay to stabiliser and also the quanties that have been batched over a period.
